Statement
With over 350,000 global employees, Siemens is one the world’s largest producers of energy-efficient and resource-saving technologies, focusing primarily on the efficient application of electrical energy, as well as power generation, transmissions, and distribution.
This global giant acquired Sacramento office space and hired our corporate office interior design team to create a professional, inviting office environment. The office floorplan needed to fit 60 staff members plus 8 managers and directors, along with space for reception, meeting rooms, and a breakroom.
Based on the shape and size of the open office spaces we created a cubicle layout with clusters of 6’x5’ L-shaped workstations. We took advantage of the great natural lighting flowing through the space and opted for 53” low cubicle walls with a great deal of framed cubicle windows. Each cubicle desk comes equipped with office shelf storage and a set of filing drawers.
We used our modular furniture system to bring the client’s corporate color palette to life in an otherwise subdued office environment. Guilford of Maine makes a cubicle fabric group called “Anchorage” with a great selection of bold office colors. One of them, “Waterfall”, is a near-match to the Siemens logo.
To prevent the bold color from taking over the space we specified two-tone cubicle panels with blue on the outside of each station and a gentler cream color in the inside.
In the private offices, stately curved office desks have an Italian design influence, in a rich cherry wood tone that emanates luxury and sophistication. We used a matching finish for the meeting room furniture - two racetrack conference tables sized 8’ and 14’, surrounded by affordable office chairs.
Our design team really enjoyed producing this great, modern office interior.
