Statement
Capitol Fire Sprinkler is a full-service fire sprinkler company proudly helping thousands of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings in the NY area. They install, design, inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems.
This repeat customer ran into a typical office design challenge: how to furnish a small office in New York. The irregular shape of the office walls made for a particularly tight, and somewhat challenging office area.
The team of 2 employees needed an extra deep desk top for spreading out large plans, and plenty of office storage cabinets to handle the high volumes of plans, documents, and files.
With no space to waste in this small office space, the office layout planning needed to be clever and precise. Our office designer utilized every inch the office square footage available by taking a built-in office furniture approach with wall mounted desk with drawers and wall mounted storage cabinets.
Using components from O2™ modular office furniture we created custom wall to wall desks with all desktop surfaces being 30-36” deep. These wall mounted office desks are fixed to the wall with brackets and supported by filing drawers and metal desk legs. Above, wall mounted office cabinets free up desk and floor space.
This small office design project had simple requirements, yet very specific spatial constraints. By creating custom workstations and placing built in desks and cabinets around the office perimeter we achieved a maximized, functional office space.
